Key EOFY Finalisations and Due Dates

  1. Single Touch Payroll

    Due by 14 July each year

    Finalise all employees reported through STP, including terminated and casual employees. Reconcile year-to-date gross wages, PAYG withholding, superannuation, allowances, deductions and reportable fringe benefits before lodging the finalisation declaration.

  2. Payday Super legislation

    Starts 1 July 2026

    Superannuation guarantee contributions must be paid on payday and received by the employee’s super fund within the required timeframe. Review payroll software, super clearing house processes, employee fund details and cash flow before the change commences.

  3. QLeave Employers return

    Due 14 July

    You must provide details to QLeave about your workers’ service and wages on a quarterly basis.

    Due 31 July

  5. Taxable Payments Annual Report

    Due 28 August each year

    Businesses in reportable industries, including building and construction, cleaning, courier, road freight, information technology, security, investigation or surveillance services, should confirm contractor details, ABNs, gross payments and GST amounts before lodging.

  6. WorkCover Queensland wage declaration

    Wages declaration due 31 August

    Premium discount deadline generally 16 September

    Full premium payment generally due 30 September

    Declare actual wages for the prior financial year and estimated wages for the new financial year. Include assessable wages, superannuation and relevant benefits, and check contractor and apprentice treatment before lodgment.
